Build a Flower Pot at Home Depot

Bring your child to Home Depot to build a flower pot to hold spring flowers to keep or give to Mom for Mother’s Day! Once the project is complete, your child can paint their project to personalize it. At the end of this workshop, kids get to keep their project, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.

Moms love to receive handmade gifts from the heart. At this event, you pay one flat fee, get all the materials you need and access of all the tools necessary to make a beautiful and unique gift. Participants can choose from a collection of beautiful gift kits to be made on-site, at your own pace to honor the mom in your life. Drop-in anytime between 10am and 2pm. All projects take less than an hour to create. Gift kit options: Bracelet – leather & metal, Spa Bath & Relaxation, or Leather Clutch Purse. Supplies, tools and a photo tutorial will be provided. Work at your own pace, while getting project tips, advice or help if you need it! Each gift kit is $35 in advance or $45 at the door. Children under the age of 10 may have difficulty creating a project on their own, so please anticipate working with small children if you bring them.
Due to the nature of the event, there are no refunds or exchanges. You may give your ticket to another person if you wish. Register here for Saturday, and here for Sunday.
Enchanted Princess Party

Dress up and bring your little one to an Enchanted Tea Party with your favorite princesses! You and your child will share beverages and desserts (served by a wait staff) with royalty in an elegant setting at the McCreery House. Professional photos will be taken upon arrival with a princess. Each additional princess will lead a fun craft or activity for you and your child to do together. There are a limited the number of ticket sales in order to maximize your time with each princess. Order your tickets here. Tickets must be purchased by end of day this Saturday, there will be no tickets sold the day of the event. Gluten free/ dairy free/ nut free options will be provided. Marker Tie Dye

Ages: 8-13
Create colorful designs with science! Draw with permanent markers on cloth, and then use alcohol to make the ink colors spread out and blend together. Registration required, for ages 8 to 13. Younger children welcome with an adult helper.
Blacksmith Demonstration at the Agricultural Heritage Center

Watch blacksmiths forge new tools to be used at Boulder County’s Agricultural Heritage Center. Blacksmithing was a common trade that supported agriculture, mining and construction in creating and repairing all things iron and steel. This drop-in program is appropriate for all ages. While you are there, check out the Ag Heritage Center! Get a glimpse into the history of agriculture in Boulder County and enjoy the rural surroundings. This site focuses on the years 1900 to 1925 when local families prospered as farmers and witnessed the coming of the Modern Age. Admission is FREE.
