Come enjoy the fun at ShredFest 2017! Bring your kiddo to participate in Shredder Ski‘s free ski and snowboard clinics. Clinics geared towards shredders ages 2-8. All gear is included. Rock Creek Living and 9 Round Fitness bring to Superior a Fun Family Fundraiser supporting the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation. Participants are invited to run, jump, skip, climb, toss, twirl and fly at this inaugural event. Like 9 Round Fitness circuit training, there will be 9 fun activities for all aged participants to move through in short two-minute intervals. There will be more family-friendly, fun activities along with food and drink options for everyone! Join your child or grandchild and rediscover the creativity of your youth with this BVSD Lifelong Learning class, Painting Without a Brush. Instead of a brush, you will use plastic forks and acrylic paints to create a colorful rooster portrait. You will also design a modern art masterpiece using a shower squeegee and paint. Dress for a mess and have fun getting your art on! Registration and materials fee covers both adult and child.

Bin 46 Wine Bar & Restaurant is teaming up with Firehouse Art Center to bring new vibrancy to the community art scene this Fall with the kick off of the Longmont Chalk Art Street Fair & Bin Market. The Fair is a free two-day street-painting festival where 25 artists spend hours on their hands and knees over the course of two days turning the streets of Longmont into a vivid canvas of colorful chalk art. The goal of the event is to create a venue for artists, vendors and visitors alike to enjoy live-art, music and local artisan vendors for a fun family weekend. There will also be a special Pop up Dinner on Saturday evening– stroll along the street and view the art in progress while enjoying a special food and wine dinner under the stars hosted by Bin 46 Wine Bar & Restaurant. Estes Park Elk Fest

To celebrate the annual elk rut and learn about the “wapiti,” the Native American name for elk, Estes Park hosts the annual Elk Fest in Bond Park. The free festival features bugling contests, elk exhibits, the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, elk seminars, elk-inspired arts and crafts, Native American music, dancing and storytelling, a children’s area with elk-themed activities, and a craft beer garden. For safe & respectful elk viewing tips, please visit Estes Park’s Wildlife Watching page.
