All for a great cause, bring the whole family to the Happy Smackah 5k, an untimed, Fun Run / Walk around beautiful Lake McIntosh in Longmont. Each year, the Happy Smackah benefits a member of the community in need. For the 7th annual Happy Smackah, the community will support Braden Stevenson, a high school student al Longmont High School who was diagnosed in late 2016 with bone cancer causing a break in his femur. Doctors performed a partial amputation and reattachment and Braden continues with chemotherapy. All proceeds go to Braden and his family for their battle to defeat cancer. All event participants (excluding late registrations) receive a Happy Smackah event t-shirt. Register for the event here. Learn about how goats control weeds in an environmentally friendly way while you enjoy beautiful views from the Boulder Reservior. The weather for this Saturday looks to be excellent! We’ll show you how to properly whip egg whites for adorable meringue roses. Plus, you’ll discover how easy it can be to make French madeleine cookies at home.
