Bee Boulder Family Festival

Join the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation in Central Park for the 4th Annual Bee Boulder Family Festival! The event includes fun and exciting educational activities, live music, face painting, prizes and more – including two special performances by Jeff and Paige at 10-10:45 a.m. and 11-11:45 a.m. Click here for details.

Enchanted Forest at Wild Bear Nature Center


When: Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11AM – 6PM
Wild Bear Nature Center will be hosting its 18th annual Enchanted Forest! Join us as we connect with the magic of the Fall season and the greater community! Take a tour of the forest and meet the animals who will tell their stories and how we can help them! Expect a full goody bag of special treasures from the forest animals! Enjoy loads of activities in Downtown Nederland, including professional face painting, creating your own costumes, live musical and theatrical performances, forest tours, and fairy magic. Dance with the bears! Enjoy yummy foods, hot drinks, and a community-driven bake sale. People of all ages welcome and costumes are encouraged! Please note: tours last 1 hour, and the last tour will be leaving at 5 pm. There are still lots of activities going on in the forest for latecomers to enjoy.

BVSD Day at the Boulder Farmers Market


When: Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 8AM – 2PM
BVSD Day at the Farmers Market introduces students to the fresh harvest of our local farmers and provides students an opportunity to engage with and appreciate locally grown delicious foods. Kids will enjoy samples, face painting, trivia with prizes, and more!

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2018
Sammy’s Family Fun Run


When: Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 8AM – 11AM
Bring the family out for a morning of fun for a great cause! The Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation to raise money to help families deal with the trauma and financial difficulties associated with heart disease. Run either the 5K or the kids’ 1-mile course and stick around for more games and activities in the park. All proceeds go directly to the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation. YWCA Dash and Bash

The YWCA Dash & Bash is a celebration of YWCA’s powerful mission to empower women and eliminate racism. This fundraising event includes a 10K, 5K and Kids’ Dash for participants to take on as a competition or a fun run or walk. It brings together our community by encouraging teams of co-workers, family members, friends, corporations and civic groups to make a statement and fuel the important work of YWCA Boulder County. Louisville Oktoberfest

Louisville is once again hosting its fun and family-friendly Oktoberfest! Featuring live music, food, games, a kids area, dancing and more. Also, check out the Pretzel Run on Sunday, September 30 at 9AM: a 5K, 10K and kids mile complete with t-shirt and pretzel medal (register here).
Louisville Oktoberfest is located at the Steinbaugh Pavilion, 824 Front St, Louisville, CO 80027. $5 entry fee per day for 18+.
Estes Park Elk Fest
When: September 29 – 30, 2018, 10AM – 4PM
To celebrate the annual elk rut and learn about the “wapiti,” the Native American name for elk, Estes Park hosts the annual Elk Fest in Bond Park. The free festival features bugling contests, elk exhibits, the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, elk seminars, elk-inspired arts and crafts, Native American music, dancing and storytelling, a children’s area with elk-themed activities, and a craft beer garden. For safe & respectful elk viewing tips, please visit Estes Park’s Wildlife Watching page. Vendors will display artwork, handmade elk-ivory jewelry, and will offer distinctive elk cuisine. Mountain men from around the country will gather at the Mountain Man Rendezvous to sell their wares and demonstrate their skills. Enjoy the Educational Seminar Tent to learn more about Elk and wildlife in Estes Park from a variety of professionals including Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Mile High Note Game Calls. Live country, rock and bluegrass music will light up the park Saturday and Sunday with popular Colorado bands performing on stage.
