SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2018

Make a Halloween Witch Hat at Fabricate

When: Saturday, October 20, from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

Whether you want to be Mildred from The Worst Witch, Professor McGonagall, or the Wicked Witch of the West, a witch hat is the perfect Halloween accessory! Fabricate is offering a class to create this fun felt hat. The hat can be made in different sizes and is a suitable project for children 8 and up.  Embellish your hat to make each a unique creation! Can be taken as an adult or Mom and Me class. Bring a 1/2 yard of felt and desired embellishments or buy at Fabricate for 15% off.

Westminster Halloween Harvest Festival

When: October 20, 2018, from 12 PM – 8 PM

Mark your calendars for Westminster’s new and improved Halloween Harvest Festival! This FREE, family-friendly event is bigger and better than ever because this year, it will now be combined with another one of Westminster’s signature events—the annual Westy Fest that is usually held each August. Bring the whole family to kick off the fall season with free carnival games, trick-or-treating, a hot-air balloon glow, live musical performances by local bands, a beer garden, food trucks, arts and crafts, jumping castles, local vendors, a bonfire and a BBQ competition. You can even pick out the perfect pumpkin at the pumpkin patch. More details here.

Sing Along Boulder for World Singing Day

When: October 20, 2018, from 11:30 AM – 1 PM 

Come sing together at the birthplace of World Singing Day with friends and neighbors. Sing to the original recordings of popular songs, from Bruno Mars to the Beatles and Sinatra, at the 4th annual Sing Along Boulder. Free lyric booklets and stickers. For all ages and singing abilities. Free Jeff & Paige kids concert and parade from 10:45 – 11:30 am before the singalong on the Pearl Street Mall.

This event will be held in front of the courthouse on the Pearl Street Mall, 1320 Pearl St, Boulder, CO 80302. This event is FREE.

Pumpkin Palooza Painting Party

When: October 20, 2018, from 1 PM – 4 PM 

Color Me Mine is teaming up with Museum of Boulder to host a  Pumpkin Palooza Painting Party. Several varieties of ceramic pumpkins will be available to choose from… like a real pumpkin patch! Cost includes ceramic, plus all supplies, paints, glazing, and firing. 25% of all profits go back to the museum.

The Museum of Boulder is located at 2205 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80302. Price will range based on pumpkin size ($25-$45). 

Lafayette ShredFest!

When: October 20, 2018, from 4 PM – 6 PM 

Shredder Ski will be hosting a ShredFest Open House at the Lafayette location this weekend. Shredder will have merchandise, giveaways, and fun events for both parents and kids – along with incredible raffles with awesome gear!  Short demos on each half hour, along with opportunities to try on gear, play in the playroom, and go sledding!

JAX Fall Harvest Festival

Check out the Fall Festival at JAX in Lafayette, featuring Trick or Treating, Pumpkin Painting, Doggie Trick or Treating (food and treat samples), and Costume Photo Booth for humans and animals of all ages!

Halloween with Horses

When: October 20, 2018, from 1 PM – 4 PM

Join Body N Soul for a family farm day at Halloween with Horses. Kids will have the chance to participate in pony rides, crafts, pony dress up, raffle, photo ops, a cash concession stand, and a jumping exhibition. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes and to come ready to have some fun!

Body N Soul is located at 4157 1/2 Nelson Road, Longmont, Colorado 80503. Admission is free however donations are greatly appreciated. All donations will benefit Nature Heals’ scholarships program, which ensures that individuals can achieve affordable nature-based therapy.

Brainsong No Shushing Concert

When: Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 1 PM – 3 PM

Join Brainsong in the Ballroom for an awesome day of music and dance with CU Boulder Dance students, Donna Mejia, Spark Movement Project and Mokomba Ensemble for a No Shushing Concert. Julie Marshall, mother of Sarah who has autism, created Brainsong as a way for families like mine to experience the arts without judgment or anxiety. She partners with the ACL’s Julie Hartman and City of Boulder Expand program supervisor Lori Goldman.

This concert is held at the East Boulder Rec Center, 5660 Sioux Dr, Boulder, CO 80303. Tickets $5/family, available here.

Halloween Kids Arts & Crafts Event

On October 21st, your children and families are invited to gather at Bittersweet Cafe for an exciting Halloween arts & crafts event. With the help of co-host Strange Bird Designs, kids will enjoy making stain-glass window decorations to take home or display for the world to see in Bittersweet’s front window.

Eben G. Fine, Mary Rippon, Tom Horn, and Rocky Mountain Joe are just a few of the historical characters that will come to life, as you wander through Columbia Cemetery, a National Register of Historic Places treasure and local landmark.
Join in the Halloween spirit with vintage hearses, mourners in period costumes, live music, a children’s cemetery scavenger hunt, and a burial re-enactment. Discover facts about Columbia Cemetery, meet local history authors, visit with psychics, learn about green burials and much more at Meet the Spirits.
