This weekend, Festivals are happening all around the Boulder area! Boulder is hosting the Colorado Latino Festival, Longmont is hosting Longmont Pride Festival and Estes Park is holding the Midsummer Scandinavian Festival and Nederland will be holding the High Peaks Art Festival. Plus, there are lots of great educational, arts and music events including the first Summer Sundays on the Hill for the season!

Longmont Pride Festival

Out Boulder County‘s annual Longmont Pride Week concludes with the Longmont Pride Festival this Saturday! The day will be jam-packed with activities, amazing community partners sharing information, Pride merchandise galore from Out Boulder County and other wonderful vendors. Jewelry from talented artists, flash-mobs, photo booths, a dunk-tank, and multiple activities will be available throughout the day.

Longmont Pride Festival will be held on Saturday, June 23rd from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on 4th Street between Main and Emery Street in Longmont. This event is FREE.

Double Feature at Fiske Planetarium

Fiske Planetarium is hosting a kid-friendly Double Feature, pairing a family-friendly fulldome shows with its most popular laser shows. In the Life of Trees, a cheeky ladybug named Dolores and a quirky firefly called Mike take the audience on an adventurous journey of exploration into the wondrous world of trees. Taking the perspective of insects, the fulldome film reveals the magic of the microcosm. On their excursion these two creepy-crawlies zip around a tree, and in doing so, playfully learn its secrets: How do plants get their food from the sun? How do they grow? How does water get from the roots to the top of the crown? And how does all this make life on our earth possible? Perseus and Andromeda, one of the most famous tales in Greek mythology. The story is told using our state of the art laser system with characters dazzling the dome.

Fiske Planetarium is located at 2414 Regent Dr, Boulder, CO 80309. The Double Feature will be held on June 23, 2018 from 1PM – 2PM. Tickets are  $7 for kids, seniors & veterans/ $10 for adults, available for purchase here.

2018 Erie Concerts in the Park – Groove a Licious

Groove a Licious will be headlining Erie’s Concerts in the Park on June 23. Colorado’s Mile High Mountain Funk connection, Groove a Licious is a 7-8 piece high energy Funk-Roots, Soul ensemble performing throughout the Front Range. FREE children’s activities. Beer, wine and concessions will be sold.

Coal Creek Park is located at 575 Kattell St, Erie, CO 80516. This concert will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 5PM – 8PM. Admission is FREE.

Boulder Beer’s 39th Anniversary Celebration

Boulder Beer will be hosting its 39th Anniversary Celebration this Saturday with fresh beer and live Music all day starting with Roots & Rhythm Band at noon, Tangled Senses Music at 2:30pm, and culminating with the Gasoline Lollipops on at 6pm. Families will enjoy tie-dye station!

Boulder Beer is located at 5401, 2880 Wilderness Pl, Boulder, CO 80301. The party will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from Noon – 10PM. Admission is FREE.

Colorado Latino Festival in Downtown Boulder

Barrio E’ & the Latino Chamber are hosting the Colorado Latino Festival Week in  Boulder in order to highlight what the city is doing to create and maintain relations with its multicultural population. On Sunday, the festival will include more than 100 vendors will be on site including expositors, artists, resource tables and activities for the whole family. Food trucks will be on site. Musicians and entertainment include: Jyemo Club & Barrio E’, dancing with Los Chicos, Orquestra La BravaLos Mocochetes and Pink Hawks.

The Colorado Latino Festival will be held in Central Park, 1236 Canyon Blvd, Boulder, CO 80302 on Sunday June 24, 2018 from 11AM – 8PM. This event is FREE.

Summer Sunday’s on The Hill – Arts and Crafts

This weekend is the first #HillSunday of 2018! Check out Summer Sundays on the Hill for a morning of Arts and Crafts courtesy The Hill Boulder and its partners Studio Arts Boulder and Meininger Art Supply and sponsors, Daily Camera and The City of Boulder. It’s set to be a perfect morning of free family fun!

Check out the super fun PAWS to Read program this weekend at the Lafayette Public Library! Kids ages 5-10: Spend 15 minutes reading to a special therapy dog. They are cuddly, good listeners who would love to hear your stories.

High Peaks Art Festival

The18th Annual High Peaks Art Festival is a friendly outdoor, juried exhibition of fine arts and crafts in the beautiful mountain setting of Nederland, Colorado. The Festival is complemented by art workshops for children, live music and food booths. Music lineup includes The Strangebyrds and The CBD’s! The 2018 Festival will include 43 artists with artwork in all media including painting,photography, jewelry, fiber,body care,metal, wood and mixed media fine craft. All art is juried and only the highest caliber of artwork is accepted.

The High Peaks Art Festival will be held in the Town Square of Nederland, Colorado on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 10AM – 5PM and Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 10AM – 4PM. Admission is FREE.

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival in Estes Park
