Junior Ranger Adventures World Ranger Day
When: Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11AM – 1PM
Join the Boulder County Park Rangers to celebrate World Ranger Day! Learn how rangers protect the world’s wildlife to earn a ticket to a concert where you’ll sing, shake and shimmy with Kids House of Joy! There will be lots of fun activities, including a special presentation by U.S. Fish & Wildlife. Don’t miss this special event! This free event is perfect for kids ages 5-12, but the whole family is welcome
World Ranger Day will be held at Heil Valley Ranch, this event is FREE.
Rocky Mountain Air & Ground Festival
When: Saturday, August 4, 2018 9AM – 4PM
Rocky Mountain Air & Ground Festival is Aug. 4, 2018!! After a three-year hiatus, the skies over Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport will again feature aerobatic acts and fly-bys, while the grounds of the airport will be filled with unique and interesting aircraft and automobiles for the public’s viewing pleasure. MaxFund’s Lucky Mutt Strut
When: Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 10AM – 1PM
Bring your furry friend to run or walk in the Lucky Mutt Strut for MaxFund, a no kill animal shelter and adoption center. There will be dog yoga, a costume parade, and a doggy beauty walk at the finish line. This event costs $20 and all proceeds go to the MaxFund No-Kill Animal Shelter and Adoption Center.
The Lucky Mutt Strut will be held at the Boulder County Fair Picnic Area, 9595 Nelson Rd, Longmont, CO 80501. Tickets are $20, available here.
Frequent Flyers’ 20th Aerial Dance Festival
When: Performances August 3 – 5, 2018
Frequent Flyers’ Aerial Dance Festival is an opportunity for people from all walks of life to experience the joy of dancing in the air, for beginners through advanced aerial dancers. Firefly Handmade Summer Market
When: August 4 9AM – 4PM & August 5 10AM – 4PM, 2018
The Firefly Handmade Summer Market is back in 2018 at a new location! This year, the market will be held in front of the Main Library in Boulder. At the market, view handmade goods from 100+ indie artisans, enjoy live music, art activities, food for purchase at food trucks, and more! Each market is creatively curated to feature returning and new artisans with home goods & décor, jewelry & accessories, adult & children’s fashion, skin care, ceramics, art, artisanal food, paper goods, and more.

Boulder County Fair and Rodeo

Celebrating its 149th year, the Boulder County Fair, located at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, is the longest running county fair in Colorado. The Boulder County Fair offers an entertaining and educational experience for the whole family with fun-filled events and activities like a petting zoo, carnival rides and games, food, music, demo derby and rodeos.
