EFAA Holiday Toy Drive




When: November 30 – December 11, 2020 daily from 10 AM – 3 PM
Each year, EFAA hosts a Holiday Gift Room to allow our participants to “shop” for gifts for their children. You can support EFAA’s gift room by donating new, unwrapped toys for children and teens aged zero to 18. Shop & drop-off items in-person: Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 1575 Yarmouth Ave. A donation reception table will be set up on 16th St. Please do NOT bring gifts to the food bank. 2020 Virtual CU Holiday Festival

Delight in the twinkling lights, seasonal greenery and beautiful music at CU Boulder’s Holiday Festival, an annual tradition that’s enchanting for all ages. The decades-old celebration brings together student choirs, bands and orchestras—along with world-class faculty performers—for a concert of holiday favorites and new surprises. Polar Express Drive-In Movie




When: Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 4:30 PM
Relax and watch the holiday classic “Polar Express ” from the comfort and safety of your own car! Gates open at 4:30pm, movie starts at 5pm. The cost is $10 per car. Purchase tickets here. This event will be held in the Regal Cinemas parking lot at Village at the Peaks.
Face Vocal Band: Christmas from a Distance Livestream Concert

ZOTTO: Denver’s Supernatural Immersive Adventure by JA-NE

The Japanese Arts Network (JA-NE) presents ZOTTO [ぞっと] – A SUPERNATURAL IMMERSIVE ADVENTURE in partnership with BIPOC story-sharing arts initiative Stories of Solidarity, Western Sound Alliance, Filmmaker Bruce Tetsuya, and local beloved Denver creative producers, organizers, musicians, dancers, and visual artists (including CRUSH Walls street artist Casey Kawaguchi) starting November 6th, 2020. Spirits and unexpected encounters help the audience to navigate this spooky story throughout Downtown Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood and Capitol Hill. Participants may choose to travel from chapter to chapter by vehicle if they are in the Denver area or as a digital experience, available virtually. Tickets include a download for audio story and videos + a mailed package of interactive elements and a special treat for your journey from Pacific Mercantile grocery store. Live Stream: Mad Dog Blues Extravaganza




When: Monday, December 7, 2020 at 8 PM
Mad Dog Friedman, harmonica player, musical innovator and founder of many popular Colorado blues acts over the years including King Comfort, Harmonica Loowinski, Papa Juke, the Mojo Medicine Show & Blue Lightning, has put together an acoustic blues jam band with a unique blues style indigenous to Colorado in the 21st Century while still honoring the blues roots. The result is Mad Dog Blues, a coalition of top-notch, veteran musicians dedicated to exploring this new sound in both their song writing and performances. Louisville WinterSkate by Boulder Creek Events

Located at the Steinbaugh Pavilion in Historic Downtown Louisville WinterSkate is an old-fashioned ice skating rink complete with skate rental, concessions and traditional holiday music. Virtual Live Jeff and Paige Chanukah Concert




When: Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 4 PM – 5 PM
Join the Boulder JCC for an interactive virtual musical celebration for the 4th night of Chanukah with Jeff and Paige. Costumes, songs and storytelling will be incorporated to explore Chanukah and celebrate its many traditions. Jeff and Paige will be performing LIVE. Street Wise 2020 Self-Guided Tour




Street Wise Boulder is an annual ARTivism mural festival in the streets of Boulder, Colorado. Their mission is to amplify artist voices and use the power of public art as a means to connect, spark change, and build empathy within the community. Boulder Ballet presents the Nutcracker Suite – a Virtual Twist on the Holiday Classic

Boulder Ballet is pleased to present the Nutcracker Suite – a virtual twist on the holiday classic. Featuring students of the Boulder Ballet school with guest performances by the company, Peter Davison, George Thomas and Mark Ragan. The nutcracker is a 30 year tradition for Boulder Ballet, we are grateful we have the technology to still share this iconic holiday performance with you and your loved ones, from the comfort of your home. Community Cooks: Paella with Dakota Soifer

Join the Boulder Public Library for the first of a new monthly series called “Community Cooks“. Gather online with for a virtual dinner party and cooking demo. A new cook every month will be sharing recipes close to their heart and culture. Ingredients lists will be released a week prior so you can cook along. December’s Community Cook: Dakota Soifer. Dakota is the Chef and Owner of Cafe Aion (located near the University) and has been cooking Spanish inspired dishes for the past 10 years. He has won Cutthroat Kitchen and received local and national recognition from Food and Wine, Esquire and 5280 Magazine. Paella has become a signature dish at Cafe Aion, representing an iconic and traditional dish as well as the wonderful shared way of eating. Paella is a traditional Spanish rice dish, flavored deeply with saffron, tomatoes and a variety of additional meat, seafood and vegetables.
