November kicks off the holidays with seasonal festivals, holiday markets, concerts, nights at the ballet and so much more! In addition to holiday fun, November in Boulder means it is time for Boulder County Restaurant Week, and Left Hand Brewery’s NitroFest, the Nederland International Film Festival. All happening this November in and around Boulder.

All Souls/Vampires Masquerade Ball

Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance & KGNU present the All Souls / Vampires Masquerade Ball at the Dairy Arts Center. Get your immortal dead on and party with Frequent Flyers. NoBo Art District First Friday Art Walk

NoBo Art District’s First Friday is a FREE self-guided tour of artists’ studios and creative businesses in the NoBo Art District. Meet painters, sculptors, photographers, designers and other artists along your stroll through the area.  Attendees will also enjoy live music, demos and special activities in many locations. Located along Broadway from Pine Street to Highway 36.  Follow the polka dots and pink flags to find surprises around every corner. Guided walking tours led by a NoBo Art District member. will visit 4-5 NoBo artists in their studios at 6:30 pm at 4635 Broadway, ACE Community Art Gallery.

Day of the Dead Family Celebration

The annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration is the Longmont Museum’s signature event and the largest Day of the Dead celebration in Colorado, attracting more than 6,000 people to the exhibit, family event, and related programming. Día de los Muertos is a time to honor and celebrate deceased loved ones. Community participation is an essential part of this holiday that is full of life, reflection, food, family, and fun. At the free Family Celebration, join in the fun and enjoy live music and dancing, sugar skull decorating, traditional food, community altars, paper flower making, face painting, Lady Catrina, and more! 57th Annual Madrigal Festival: University Choir Concert

At the 57th Annual Madrigal Festival, see the University Men’s and Women’s choruses who are devoted to the study and performance of voice-specific repertoire and perform in several on-campus settings. The Collegiate Chorale, a mixed-voice choir, consists of 50-75 men and women, primarily comprised of undergraduate non-music majors, and performs contemporary choral literature in addition to repertoire from all historical periods.

First Bite is an annual event highlighting the Boulder area dining scene. For one full week, more than 50 of the area’s top restaurants will offer a special three-course $29 prix-fixe dinner menu to the community. The week celebrates our exceptional dining scene and continues to bring its well-deserved reputation into the national spotlight.

44th Annual Longmont Turkey Trot

Nederland International Film Festival 2018

Louisville WinterSkate

Boulder Thanksgiving Day 5K

After a 3 year hiatus, and in partnership with the Boulder Road Runners, T.E.A.M is pleased to bring back a Thanksgiving Day fun run event for Boulder! Whether you are young or old, fast or slow, the Boulder Thanksgiving Day event is about celebrating family and friends and the many aspects in our community that we can be thankful for. It is also a time to think about those who are less fortunate and in keeping with traditions, this event will be supporting Boulder’s Harvest of Hope Pantry with a donation from race proceeds. Participants are asked to kindly donate non-perishable packaged and canned foods for the food pantry.

The Erie Pilgrimage Run

So you thought Thanksgiving was about Turkey, eh? We’re glad you don’t any longer! Join The Pilgrimage Run by running, walking, pushing a stroller or pulling a wagon on this great 2-mile course. The route is made up of 90% paved trails and 10% streets, making it a fantastic family event and easy for anyone to participate! Both courses are very flat and forgiving! The 4 Mile course is similar to the 2 Mile, but includes an additional out & back portion of paved trail.

The run is held in downtown Erie adjacent to the Erie Library, 400 Powers St, Erie, CO 80516. $30 – $40, *Kids 10 & under free with a registered guardian, but do not receive a shirt or bib number. All kids must have signed waiver by guardian – this is available at packet pick up. Register here.

Avista Adventist Louisville Turkey Trot 5K

Louisville’s Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot is a FREE event with a great cause!!!! Add to the stack of donations, they will be so high from this race that you’ll want to get your photo in front of it!  You do need to register and sign the waiver, so please visit the registration site to get signed up today.

SantaCon is simply a gathering of people dressed as Santa. Traditionally, SantaCon is free to attend, however, some events have costs that need to be covered and the organizers ask for a contribution. Others are held in support of a good cause and also have a mandatory contribution. Boulder SantaCon has not yet released more details, but I will update as the information comes in.

Longmont Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony

Centennial Ballet’s Sugar Plum Tea Party

Centennial State Ballet’s fundraiser, the Sugar Plum Tea Party includes a delightful afternoon of warm tea, sweet and savory edibles and harp accompaniment as well as a souvenir photo taken with the Sugar Plum Fairy character. Centennial State Ballet invites both young and old to join them in a wonderful afternoon at the start of the 2018 holiday season. The event is the perfect introduction to the classic tale of Clara and her prince with a mini Nutcracker performance that includes interactive portions for young audience members. A Nutcracker boutique with whimsical gifts for sale will also be on display during the event.
