Only two weeks until Halloween! And those two weeks are PACKED with fun, festive, creative Halloween events in the Boulder area. If you are looking for something for big kids and grown-ups, check out this post with 8 Halloween events for adults in the Boulder area. Happy Halloween!

Anderson Farms Fall Festival

Anderson Farms All Things Boulder

When: Daily through November 3, 2019. Hours: Monday – Thursday, 10 AM – 6 PM, Friday 10 AM – 11 PM, Saturday 9 AM – 11 PM, Sunday 9 AM – 10 PM.

Anderson Farms is hosting its annual Fall Festival, complete with a pumpkin patch, hayrides and so much more! Admission includes a ton of fun activities such as Colorado’s longest-running 30-acre corn maze, hayride to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin launching, mine cars, barrel train, farm animals, farm lights and so much more. New this year: giant jump pads and a combine “playground” with six slides! Click here for a full list of activities. For those who enjoy a fright, after dark Anderson Farms hosts Zombie Paintball Hunt, a unique paintball experience where you shoot zombies throughout the cornfield (but don’t worry, you won’t get shot!) while riding on a zombie wagon. Boo Brew Run

When: Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10:30 AM -3 PM 

Rocky Mountain Brew Runs is hosting the Boo Brew Run to benefit the Humane Society of Boulder Valley and Epic Experience. This flat and fast 5kish course will take you along the beautiful winding Clear Creek trail. Afterward, kick back with a brew, enjoy delicious food and stick around for our fun games and the big costume contest! This “Boo” Brew Run is dog and family friendly, the course is stroller friendly and kids 12 and under run free. More details here.

Elaborate Halloween Display in Thornton Neighborhood

When: Lights are displayed every evening from 7 PM – Midnight throughout October. 

The Denning Family displays this creative, multi-faceted Halloween extravaganza in their yard every year! All the props are handmade by Cameron Denning. Themes include Dia de Los Muertos, a witch’s coven, an abandoned carnival and more!

This elaborate display is located at 14709 Detroit Way, Thornton CO 80602. Viewing the display is always FREE.

Pumpkin Palooza Painting Party

When: Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 2 PM – 5 PM 

Color Me Mine is teaming up with Museum of Boulder to host a  Pumpkin Palooza Painting Party. Several varieties of ceramic pumpkins will be available to choose from… like a real pumpkin patch! Cost includes ceramic, plus all supplies, paints, glazing, and firing. All ages.

The Museum of Boulder is located at 2205 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80302. Price will range based on pumpkin size ($25-$45). 

Halloween with Horses

When: Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 1 PM – 4 PM

Join Body N Soul for a family farm day at Halloween with Horses. Kids will have the chance to participate in pony rides, crafts, pony dress up, raffle, photo ops, a cash concession stand, and a jumping exhibition. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes and to come ready to have some fun!

Body N Soul is located at 4157 1/2 Nelson Road, Longmont, Colorado 80503. Admission is free however donations are greatly appreciated. All donations will benefit Nature Heals’ scholarships program, which ensures that individuals can achieve affordable nature-based therapy.

Halloween Carnival

When: Friday, October 25, 2019, from 3 PM – 5 PM

Join the City of Boulder for a community-wide, family-friendly, Halloween Carnival! Activities include carnival games, crafts, bouncy castle, face paint and more! Don’t forget to wear your costume. Best for ages 3 to 8, but all ages welcome. $5 per child. Under 3 and adults are free. For more details, click here.

The Halloween Carnival will be held at the South Boulder Rec Center, 1360 Gillaspie Dr, Boulder, CO 80305. Tickets are $5/child.

WOW!’s Halloween Party

When: Friday, October 25, 2019, from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

WOW! is throwing a Halloween Party and you’re invited! Come dressed in costume and enjoy ghostly crafts, spooky science experiments, ghoulish games, tasty treats provided by Happy Family, magical giveaways, playtime, and more! Boxed dinners are available for purchase in advance with your ticket.

Halloween Spooktacular at McGuckin’s

McGuckin’s is hosting a Halloween Spooktackular, where kids can make a spooky Franken-Pumpkin kids’ craft! Kids 12 and younger get a FREE pumpkin plus all the bolts, wing nuts, washers, and other hardware they need to create a no-carve masterpiece! Costumes are encouraged. Adult supervision is required, one pumpkin per child.

Spooky Village at Village at the Peaks

Spooky Village is a FREE family fun festival is a Halloween event complete with trick or treating at Village at the Peaks. This year’s free activities include: hay rides, craft stations, face painting, balloon twisting goblin train rides, portrait stations, unicorn carousel, live entertainment and trick-or-treat bag giveaway. Bring the dog to Chuck and Don’s annual Halloween pet parade and photo booth station!

Boo! on Briggs Street

The Town of Erie’s Trunk or Treat event has moved downtown and expanded, bring you Boo! on Briggs Street. Trunks will be parked in the parking lots on the southeast corner of Wells and Briggs and the northeast corner of Moffat and Briggs in Erie. Boo! on Briggs Street will feature costume contests (ages 0-8, 9+ ($5) and group/theme ($10).  The night will be capped off with a glow-in-the-dark dance party complete with a professional DJ and complimentary glow-in-the-dark giveaways for the kids.

This event is held in Downtown Erie, Briggs Street between Moffat and Wells, Erie, CO 80516. This event is FREE.

Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat Street

When: Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10 AM

Dress up in your Halloween Costume, for Longmont’s Halloween Parade on Main Street and visit Downtown participating merchants for Trick or Treat Street immediately following the parade. Kids of all ages can be a part of this costume foot parade. No registration is required!  Strollers or wagons are recommended for tiny feet; no motorized vehicles or large animals. Dogs must be leashed. 9:30AM: Line-up in front of the St. Vrain Memorial Building.10AM: Foot Parade Start.  Come in costume. Route will be lengthy; wagons and strollers recommended.  Enjoy the sounds of local bands interspersed within the parade. This event will be held on Main Street in Longmont. This event is FREE. 

Halloween Children’s Afternoon Tea

You are invited to a Halloween Afternoon Tea! Served on white linens with a three-tiered tray of spooky sweets and and savories with a pot of loose leaf premium tea Wear your costume! Fun and creative crafts. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 303-666-8020.

Haunted Library

When: Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 2 PM – 4 PM

Drop-in to George R Reynolds Branch Library’s sixth annual Haunted Library! Costumes are encouraged at this family-friendly, not-so-spooky Halloween event. Recommended for ages 10 and under. Spooky activities include creepy crawly critters with Nature’s Educators, spooky songs and stories with Ms. Abby, face painting by Face Fiesta, slime walk (like a cake walk…but with SLIME!), mask decorating and more!

This free event will be held at the George R Reynolds Branch Library, 3595 Table Mesa Dr, Boulder, CO 80305.

Monster Dash 5K, 10K & Kids Races

When: Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3 PM

Check out Louisville’s Halloween race — Monster Dash! Throw on your costume and get ready to run. There will be 2 distance choices, the 5k “Fun Run” is for the entire family to run together (Ages 5 and up)…strollers allowed. The 10k Race is for the bit more serious runners going for a place in their age divisions. Immediately following the 5k and 10k, there will be 3 different races for the “Little Zombies” ranging from 1/4 mile to 1 full mile. For more info, click here.

Lafayette Fall Festival

The Lafayette Fall Festival combines three community events into one! The festival includes a bounce house & pumpkin decorating contest. The Great Pumpkin Race will be held, launch your pumpkin into the rec center’s lazy river and watch it race to the finish! For more information on the event, click here.

You’ll have a hauntingly good time at the Broomfield Recreation Services’ Annual Spooktacular. Come dressed in costume and bring a bag for your goodies. The event will feature carnival games, jumping castles, wagon rides, crafts, entertainment and don’t miss out on the “treat or suite-ing”. Spooktacular is guaranteed to be a treat for kids of all ages!

This FREE event will be held at the Broomfield High School, 1 Eagle Way, Broomfield, CO 80020. Donations of canned goods are welcome.

Munchkin Masquerade

Munchkin Masquerade on Pearl Street

When: Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 3 PM – 6 PM

Each year, Downtown Boulder is invaded by thousands of tiny ghosts & goblins, dinosaurs & dragons, fairies & princes, superheroes and animals of every size trick-or-treating along Pearl Street for the Munchkin Masquerade. There will be over 100 places handing out treats along the Pearl Street Mall.

Trick or Beats – Halloween Party & Silent Disco
