This weekend is all about Halloween! Start celebrating early by checking out one of these local Halloween events, or visit a local pumpkin patch. All happening this weekend in and around Boulder.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2018
Spooky Village at Village at the Peaks
When: Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 1PM – 3PM
Spooky Village is a FREE family fun festival is a Halloween event complete with trick or treating at Village at the Peaks. This year’s free activities include: hay rides, craft stations, face painting, balloon twisting, goblin train rides, portrait stations, unicorn carousel, live entertainment, trick-or-treat bag giveaway and meet
Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. Bring the dog to Chuck and Don’s annual Halloween pet parade and photo booth station!
Village at the Peaks is located at 1250 South Hover Road, Longmont, CO 80501. This event is FREE.
Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat Street
When: Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10AM
Dress up in your Halloween Costume, for Longmont’s Halloween Parade on Main Street and visit Downtown participating merchants for Trick or Treat Street immediately following the parade. Kids of all ages can be a part of this costume foot parade. No registration is required! Strollers or wagons are recommended for tiny feet; no motorized vehicles or large animals. Dogs must be leashed. 9:30AM: Line-up in front of the St. Vrain Memorial Building.10AM: Foot Parade Start. Come in costume. Route will be lengthy; wagons and strollers recommended. Niwot’s Great Pumpkin Party
When: Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10 AM – 1:30 PM
Niwot’s annual Halloween celebration, the Great Pumpkin Party, will be held this Saturday! Costume up the kids, bring the kid-friendly dog, and head downtown for trick or treating, the parade, doggie costume contest, hay rides and more! Details here.
The Great Pumpkin Party will be held in downtown Niwot in Cottonwood Square.
Boo! on Briggs Street
When: Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 4PM – 7PM
The Town of Erie’s Trunk or Treat event has moved downtown and expanded, bring you Boo! on Briggs Street. Trunks will be parked in the parking lots on the southeast corner of Wells and Briggs and the northeast corner of Moffat and Briggs in Erie. Boo! on Briggs Street will feature costume contests (ages 0-8, 9+ ($5) and group/theme ($10). The night will be capped off with a glow-in-the-dark dance party complete with a professional DJ and complimentary glow-in-the-dark giveaways for the kids.
This event is held in Downtown Erie, Briggs Street between Moffat and Wells, Erie, CO 80516. This event is FREE.
When: Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 11AM – 2PM
You’ll have a hauntingly good time at the Broomfield Recreation Services’ Annual Spooktacular. Come dressed in costume and bring a bag for your goodies. The event will feature carnival games, jumping castles, wagon rides, crafts, entertainment and don’t miss out on the “treat or suite-ing”. Spooktacular is guaranteed to be a treat for kids of all ages!
Halloween Tea Party at The Huckleberry
When: Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 3 PM – 5 PM
The Huckleberry is hosting a Halloween Children’s Tea Party on October 27 from 3:00 – 5:00. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 303-666-8020.

Lafayette Fall Festival
When: Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 3:30PM – 5:30PM
The Lafayette Fall Festival combines three community events into one! The festival includes a bounce house & pumpkin decorating contest. The Great Pumpkin Race will be held, launch your pumpkin into the rec center’s lazy river and watch it race to the finish! For more information on the event, click here.

Boulder Halloween ShredFest
When: Sunday, October 28, 2018, from 4 PM – 6 PM
Shredder Ski will be hosting a ShredFest Open House – this will be a Halloween-themed event, so feel free to bring the kiddos in their costumes! Shredder will have merchandise, giveaways, and fun events for both parents and kids – along with incredible raffles with awesome gear! Short demos on each half hour, along with opportunities to try on gear, play in the playroom, and go sledding.

Monster Dash 5K, 10K & Kids Races
When: Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 1PM – 6PM
Check out Louisville’s Halloween race — Monster Dash! Throw on your costume and get ready to run. There will be 2 distance choices, the 5k “Fun Run” is for the entire family to run together (Ages 5 and up)…strollers allowed. The 10k Race is for the bit more serious runners going for a place in their age divisions. Immediately following the 5k and 10k, there will be 3 different races for the “Little Zombies” ranging from 1/4 mile to 1 full mile. Kids receive custom kids bib, glow stick, meal, milk/drink, kids candy, finisher medal and cool finisher gift. Post-event activities include a costume contest, trick or treating for kids as well as a party where adults will receive one free beer from Avery and kids receive free juice or soda. Laser Halloween Spooktacular and Freaky Moons
When: Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 9 PM – 10 PM
Calling all ghosts and goblins! Join Fiske Planetarium for a spooktacular laser music Halloween show, and experience the creepy, oddball moons that exist right in our own solar system.
