The Spring weekend that all the kids have been waiting for is here! The Tulip Fairy and Elf Festival will return to Pearl Street this Sunday. Also, this weekend check out art and maker events, a health fair, the Cesar Chavez celebration, yoga and more! All happening this weekend in and around Boulder.

Where:  Tinker Art Studio, 5926, 693B S Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305

Time: 9:45AM – 10:45AM or 11:00AM – 12:00PM

Cost: $12/child per hour

Ages: 18 months – 12 years

Tinker Time at Tinker Art Studio is an opportunity for children to engage in art exploration. The studio offers several stations set up with a variety of materials as well as ideas and techniques for use of materials are offered. Children have complete creative control and enjoy moving freely between stations. Paints, oil pastels, clay, print making, wire and wood sculpture, stamping, cut paper collage… are some of the mediums found during Tinker Time. Parents can drop off their artist off anytime during Tinker Time to run a few errands, take a break at the coffee shop, or stay at Tinker watching their artist at work. All ages are welcome, but if your child is under 4, we ask that a parent or caregiver remain with them in the studio. Tinker Time is limited to 16 students, so if you want to be guaranteed a spot, it’s highly encouraged that you reserve a space in advance.

Create your very own magical fairy garden at Shelly’s Garden Country in Broomfield. Make one for yourself or bring along a friend or child and spend time together creating memories. Fairy gardens are so much fun and something the entire family will enjoy. *$30 fee includes cone plant, one fairy and soil.

Lafayette’s 14th Annual Cesar Chavez Celebration

Time: 12PM – 5PM

Cost: FREE

Free and open to the public, Lafayette’s 14th annual Cesar Chavez Celebration will kick-off at 12:00PM at Alicia Sanchez International School (655 Sir Galahad Drive), where a Convivio featuring free refreshments, live entertainment, children’s activities, and student presentations, will be held. A “Seeds of Justice” march will follow at 1:30PM with departure from Alicia Sanchez International School. The march will conclude at the Lafayette Public Library where the Lafayette premiere screening of Motus Theater’s film, which is dubbed in Spanish and which depicts the lives of undocumented youth through the eyes of law enforcement leaders. A corresponding discussion will take place from 2:30 – 5PM. Children’s activities, including youth-facilitated Reading to End Racism circles, will also be coordinated. This event is brought to you by the Lafayette Youth Advisory Committee with support from the Empowerment Center of East CountyLafayette Police DepartmentLafayette Public LibraryLafayette Recreation Center, and Motus Theater.

Spring officially arrives in Downtown Boulder with the Tulip Fairy and Elf Festival. Festival goers can witness the vibrant Tulip Fairy, along with pint-sized fairies (including the fabulous Flora the Fairy) and elves, parade around the Pearl Street Mall ‘welcoming the tulips’. This beloved springtime tradition in Boulder features special events and activities for girls and boys and celebrate the more than 15,000 tulips that adorn the world renowned Pearl Street Mall throughout the spring season. The event includes live stage performances including Taylor Shae & Jeff and Paige, face painting, free activities for children and more!
